Condensation Wood Drying Kilns
HB Krako company produce dry kilns from small capacity to large drying complexes in standardized lines or follow a customerś order. Condensation dry kilns only need an electrical power supply to work. This type of dry kilns is intended for the firms that don´t have a source of cheap energy supply available (like wood waste) or the firms that specializes in drying of hard sawntimber (beech, oak).
Principal
The air in a chamber is heated by an electric resistance heater at the start of the drying cycle. The heater is placed in the condensation aggregate. Like at classical dry kilns the air is circulated by fans.As soon as the demanded temperature and moisture are reached in the chamber, the automatic control system activates a condensation aggregate compressor. The air with absorbed wood moisture passes through a stainless aggregate evaporator. The water in the air condensates in the evaporator and it goes out of the chamber. All the electric energy to condensate the moisture is converted into heating of the chamber. The quantum of thermal energy is normally sufficient for slow increase of temperature in the chamber. The process of drying is very regardfull, the wood dried by this technology is very high quality. It almost completely eliminates the damages to the timber due to unprofessional maintanance of the kiln.
